WHY WORK WITH US?
Façade Consultants was established in response to the significant increase in the development of high-profile high-rise buildings and luxury residences across the United States, particularly in South Florida, but also in New York City and Chicago. Recognizing that renowned architects were leading the design of these projects, it became evident that the façade systems they designed would be highly architectural, incorporating materials such as architectural precast concrete, metal, and glass. While steel and glass were readily available, the emergence of architectural precast materials, specifically Custom GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) and UHPC (Ultra High-Performance Concrete), posed a challenge in terms of sourcing.
Our primary objective is to establish reliable sources for the design, manufacturing, and delivery of these intricate architectural façade systems. Initially, this endeavor encountered difficulties due to the scarcity of precast engineers and manufacturers specializing in GFRC and UHPC.
However, Façade Consultants has identified and partnered with several world renowned and highly qualified partner that can play a vital role in assisting high-end architects, developers, and general contractors in identifying engineers and manufacturers capable of providing these materials. Moreover, our team collaborates closely with them during the early stages of the design process to ensure a seamless integration of the façade design.
Collaborating with the Design Architect: We actively collaborate with the Design Architect to transform their visionary designs into reality using GFRC and/or UHPC. To achieve this, we will assemble a team of highly skilled and renowned Specialty Engineers who will bring their expertise to the project.

Engaging Proficient Manufacturers: We facilitate the involvement of proficient manufacturers who excel in producing the specific products that are developed during the design process. By carefully selecting manufacturers with proven capabilities, we ensure the quality and integrity of the final products.

We provide logistical support for delivery and installation, ensuring efficient execution and seamless integration of Façade Systems.
Establishing Synergy among Stakeholders: We foster effective collaboration and synergy among key stakeholders involved in the project. This includes facilitating communication and coordination between the Design Architect, Architect of Record, Structural Engineer of Record, and all Façade Trade Partners, as well as the Shell Contractor. By promoting harmonious working relationships, we enhance overall project efficiency and success.
Implementing Value Engineering: Through a comprehensive value engineering approach, we work to bring the project within or below the budgetary constraints. By analyzing and optimizing various aspects of the project, we identify opportunities to enhance cost-effectiveness without compromising the design intent or quality.

Alex Guthrie, MBA, PMP, LEED AP
Owner
With over 30 years of extensive experience in the construction industry, Alex has served as a Construction Executive and Consultant, collaborating with a prominent international Architects, Engineers, General contractors, Subcontractors, Construction material producers, and providing my expertise as an international consultant. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous large-scale commercial projects, both domestically and internationally, gaining invaluable insights and knowledge in this field.

For the past 17 years, he has focused specifically on the Structural and Architectural Precast Manufacturing Industry, holding positions such as Project Executive, Director of Projects, and Senior Vice President of Business Development and Sales. Over the course of his tenure, he has successfully led and contributed to more than 165 precast projects, encompassing a wide range of complexities and requirements.

​Notably, his expertise lies in the domain of large high-rise façade design, making him the go-to specialist in this field. Through his comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in designing and implementing façade systems for high-rise structures, he has consistently delivered exceptional results, earning the trust and confidence of his clients and industry peers alike.

As a seasoned multilingual Construction Executive, Claudia brings over 20 years of experience serving as an international business consultant and interpreter. Additionally, she has dedicated 5+ years to the Architectural Precast Industry, serving as a Senior Project Manager for international projects and as an International Business Development Manager.

Leveraging her language skills, she has effectively facilitated communication and collaboration with international business partners, enabling the provision of near-shoring solutions for engineering and manufacturing services. By bridging language barriers and fostering effective partnerships, she has played a crucial role in expanding the reach and capabilities of the organizations she worked with.
